Rayong, June 7, 2024 – The Nets Up project, a model for creating added value through Circular Economy innovations, upcycling discarded fishing nets into sustainable marine materials, participated by setting up a booth to provide information and showcase products from the project at the Lan Phra Chedi Klang Nam in Rayong Province. The booth attracted interest from government agencies, private sector entities, educational institutions, and the general public.

The “World Oceans Day 2024” event was organized by the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. Held under the theme “Awaken New Depths,” the event aimed to emphasize the connection between humanity and the ocean, highlighting our shared responsibility to protect ecosystems. Its objectives were to disseminate knowledge and campaign for all sectors to recognize the importance of the oceans, while raising global awareness and inspiring conservation efforts.
